Violet Watson Griggs

Violet Watson Griggs joined the First Financial marketing team in 2020 after graduating from Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business summa cum laude with a BA in Marketing. Her initial role on the First Financial marketing team was to oversee all digital marketing and content strategy. Her specialties include social media strategy, website and CMS management, project communication, and copywriting. She also works closely with the digital banking team to ensure that First Financial Bank’s online and mobile banking systems remain current and provide customers with a unique and beneficial experience. In 2022, Violet accepted a new position as AVP, Project Manager for the Commercial Division of Truist Financial Corp. In that role, she developed and maintained content for the company’s marketing automation platform. Violet rejoined the First Financial Bank marketing team in 2024 as VP of Digital Marketing. She has since taken on the role of Senior Vice President, Marketing Director, and oversees all marketing efforts for the Bank, Mortgage Division, and Trust Company. 

One of her top professional accomplishments was being named the 2022 First Financial Bank Shining Star. She has also been a speaker for the American Bankers Association and the Texas Bankers Association on multiple occasions, addressing topics such as vendor management, website redesign, and branding. 

Outside of work, Violet enjoys spending time with her husband, Ash, and their two rescue dogs. She is also an active member of the Greater Abilene Kiwanis and serves on the board for Abilene Hope Haven. She is currently attending the Texas Tech School of Banking and will graduate later this year.
