Violet Watson Griggs

Violet Watson Griggs joined the First Financial marketing team in 2020 after graduating from Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business summa cum laude with a BA in Marketing. Her initial role on the First Financial marketing team was to oversee all digital marketing and content strategy. Her specialties include social media strategy, website and CMS management, project communication, automation, and copywriting. She also works closely with the digital banking team to ensure that First Financial Bank’s online and mobile banking systems remain up to date and provide customers with a unique and beneficial experience. In 2022, Violet accepted a new position as an AVP, Project Manager, in the Commercial Division of Truist Financial Corp. In that role, she developed and maintained content for the company’s marketing automation platform. Violet rejoined the First Financial Bank marketing team in 2024 as VP of Digital Marketing. She has since taken on the role of Senior Vice President, Marketing Director, and oversees all marketing efforts for the Bank, Mortgage Division, and Trust Company. 

Violet is a graduate of the Texas Tech School of Banking and a Certified Financial Marketing Professional, accredited by the American Bankers Association. One of her proudest professional achievements was being named a 2022 First Financial Bank Shining Star. In 2025, the First Financial Marketing team earned an Emmy® Award from the Lone Star Chapter for their work on the First Checking commercial. She has also served as a repeat speaker for both the American Bankers Association and the Texas Bankers Association, presenting on topics including vendor management, website redesign, market strategy, and branding. 

Outside of work, Violet enjoys spending time with her husband, Ash, and their two rescue dogs. She is also a member of the Greater Abilene Kiwanis, serves as Vice Chair for Abilene Hope Haven, and is a member of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce's Young Professional Steering Committee.
