Senior Vice President, Beaumont/Orange
Brad is the Southeast Texas Area manager for First Financial Trust, where he is responsible for business development and trust, estate and retirement plan administration.
He joined First Financial Trust in 2013 as a senior vice president following a successful career spanning more than 32 years in client practice of public accounting with a southeast Texas CPA firm, having been a principal of the firm since 1991.
A longtime resident of Beaumont, Brad is a graduate of Lamar University with a BBA in Accounting and is licensed as a CPA by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. Brad is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has served as an elected member of AICPA Council. He is a former member of the Executive Board of Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants serving as TSCPA Treasurer. Brad is also a graduate of the Texas Bankers Association Trust School and Graduate Trust School.
For many years, Brad was a weekly contributor to the Beaumont Enterprise's Money Q&A financial column. His current community service activities include serving as Past President of Rotary Club of Beaumont, Past President of Lamar University Alumni Board, Lamar University Friends of the Arts, Past Board Chair and Trustee for CHRISTUS Health Foundation of Southeast Texas, Past President of Symphony of Southeast Texas Board, and Board Member of United Way of Beaumont. Brad is also a member of Southeast Texas Estate Planning Council and Lamar University Planned Giving Advisory Council. He was recognized as the 2008 "Co-Newsmaker of the Year" by the Press Club of Southeast Texas for efforts leading to the passage of the "Ashley and Alicia's Law", a law requiring seat belts on school buses. In recognition of these efforts, TSCPA presented Brad the Distinguished Public Service Award.
