Senior Vice President, Abilene
Thad joined First Financial Trust in July 2021 as a Senior Vice President in the Odessa office, where he assists with business development, fiduciary administration and investment services.
He came to First Financial with 29 years of trust & wealth management experience. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President and Trust Division Manager for Community Bank & Trust, Waco, Texas, where he served for over 20 years in numerous capacities. During his career, he has experience in Trust & Estate Administration, Investments, Employee Benefits, Trust Operations, Real Estate & Mineral Management, and Compliance.
Thad grew up on ranches in Stonewall & Haskell Counties, and graduated Cum Laude from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting. He is a licensed CPA.
He recently ended his term as Chair of the Texas Banker's Association (TBA) Wealth Management & Trust Administrative Council, where he focused on Fiduciary education for the industry and member banks. For many years, he chaired the TBA Trust Schools Advisory Board.
His civic involvement goes back many years, serving on numerous boards and committees in the Waco area. A graduate of Leadership Waco (Class XX), he spent over 10 years on the Board of Lake Air Little League (Waco), serving as Treasurer, Player Agent and President during his tenure.
