Experience
David Bailey joined First Financial Bank in 2003 as a part-time teller while attending college at McMurry University in Abilene. Since that time, he has served in numerous positions in several different markets including Credit / Loan Review Analyst in Abilene and Weatherford, Commercial lender in Granbury and in Eastland, President & CEO of the Eastland Division, Senior Lender of the Abilene Region, and most recently, Executive Vice President of Commercial Lending. In 2023, Bailey was promoted to his current position of Executive Vice President, Chief Banking Officer, where he helps drive loan and deposit growth efforts across the entire footprint of First Financial.
Bailey is also co-chairman of First Financial’s Customer Service First program and was instrumental in organizing the Company’s Day of Service initiative, which was awarded the Texas Bankers Association’s Cornerstone Award for outstanding community involvement.
Education
Mr. Bailey holds a bachelor’s degree in business finance from McMurry University and is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
Activities
Mr. Bailey currently serves as 1st Vice Chair on the Board of Trustees for McMurry University, executive board member of the Hendrick Medical Center Foundation in Abilene, Board Member of Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra, and a member of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce.
