Mr. Hinton is a seasoned professional in the mortgage finance industry, with over four decades of experience. As a lifelong Texan and DFW resident, he has deep roots in the Dallas business community. He took the reins of his family's mortgage banking company, founded in 1950, after graduating from Southern Methodist University in 1973. Under his leadership, the company flourished until its successful sale in 1992. Throughout his career, James has been an active participant in various industry committees and has contributed valuable insights to numerous publications.
Education
Mr. Hinton earned his degree from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in 1973, where he laid the foundation for his successful career in mortgage finance. His education, combined with his extensive practical experience, has equipped him with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in his field.
Activities
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Hinton is dedicated to giving back to the community. He has served as a certified SCORE mentor, where he provides guidance and support to small business startups. This commitment to nurturing new entrepreneurs reflects his passion for fostering growth and development within the local business ecosystem. Mr. Hinton currently resides in Farmers Branch with his wife and their two adult children.
